We came to Ethnic Trail with our 6-month-old baby looking for a quiet break, and somehow found a place that felt like home.
Our room near the living area and kitchen turned out to be perfect with a baby. It gave us so much comfort and ease, and we never felt restricted to the room.
What made this stay special was the warmth all around — mornings with clouds running beside us during storms, peaceful surroundings, home-like food, lovely dogs, books to browse in the living room, and kind hosts who made the place feel genuinely welcoming. My husband even enjoyed playing the tongue drum at the homestay, and somehow these little moments became the best memories.
What touched us even more was the kindness during an unexpected moment — when we unexpectedly ran out of petrol, they immediately helped us with petrol without hesitation. Small acts like these say so much about the people behind a place.
This didn’t feel like staying at a property. It felt like being welcomed into someone’s home.
We genuinely wanted to extend our stay but had booked everything in advance. This place will always be special to us because this was our baby’s first vacation, and somehow it became healing for us as parents too.

Hotel Ethnic trail is a beautiful beautiful homestay located in a valley in Naukuchiatal. The property is quite separated from the road so you peace won't be disturbed by sounds of traffic and pedestrians. The room in which I stayed had warm lighting with wooden furniture, giving it a homely vibe. The bathrooms had geysers for 24x7 hot water supply. Luckily, my room was also connected to the living area where people can sit, read books, eat food or engage in group activities. Outside our room was a big garden with a shaded dining area surrounded by a mini pond which is perfect for breakfasts and romantic dinners. The caretakers Santosh and Neetu were friendly and cook some of the most delicious food I have eaten. Laundry service was also available. Oh one thing more. They have three adorable dogs at the property too. Overall, I had a 5+ star experience here.

Our stay at Ethnic Trail turned out to be one of the most comfortable and memorable trips. The location is fantastic, offering ample of open space and a 360° view of beautiful mountains. The room was nice and spacious, with a comfortable bed and clean washroom. There was a nice sitting space just outside the room. The food (especially kumaoni food) was excellent. We look forward to visit again.

Our stay in Naukuchiatal with family was truly memorable. The location itself is absolutely stunning—peaceful, scenic, and perfect for a relaxing getaway.
What made the experience even more special was the incredible hospitality. Naman, along with his mom and dad, were such warm and welcoming hosts. They made us feel completely at home from the moment we arrived. The helpers on the property were also very kind and attentive, ensuring everything was comfortable throughout our stay.
A special mention to the three beautiful dogs—they added so much joy and warmth to the whole experience!
Overall, it was a perfect blend of nature, comfort, and heartfelt hospitality. We left with wonderful memories and would absolutely love to visit again. Highly recommended!
